Build Your Perfect Prelude - Part 1 - Exterior

Hello Everyone,

I am trying to build a perfect prelude... I need some help with picking out the best parts and getting the best prices, etc etc.... So instead of spending years online, I am looking for support for all the 4th gen enthusiasts out there... Thanks for your input in advance!

I will be posting 4 Parts to this saga

1. Exterior
2. Motor
3. Suspension
4. Exhaust

If you were to start from a bone stock prelude what would you change about the exterior (example lights, rims, kit, wing)?

I would go with a stock exterior. OEM spoiler is a must. JDM black housing lights with TSX projector retrofit. OEM fog lights and 92-93 orange bumper lights.

That's pretty much it. In championship white NH-1

To me, the perfect prelude is one you build out of your thoughts and passion.

Not one you take from other people's ideas...but whatever. FYI most of the stuff that would be considered "awesome" is long gone.

omg, why is that everyone now who wants to mod their ludes starts a thread like this? Hey everyone, can you list all the mods, etc for me?

Search man, take a look at threads with pictures etc. No one is just going to hand you the mods you should do. Fvck, Im still "perfecting" mine after 6 years of owning it.

Exterior: (My plans)
-Keep the body pretty much stock(...some ppl think the 4th gens look 'very nice' with outrageous kits....NO... but if you do choose to get a kit get something simple! Look at some pics of other ludes with different body kits and you'll see what you like!)
-Foglights
-JDM black housing headlights
-Black sonar, LED tailights, or OEM taillights w/ out the amber turn signals(red and clear)
-PLZ NO crazy spoiler, again keep it stock or take it off
-Rims of course, i have 17" on my car when i bought it, it fits pretty nice but i wanna get some smaller ones like 15". Depending on your cars color, id get tha polished lip!!! Its damn sexy
-Tinted windows of course(inexpensive)

Suspension:
-Adjustable coilovers, Tien, skunk2 etc.(Drop that ****!!!)

Engine:
-H22 Vtec
-Header
-CAI

That car isn't his,
It's Cyber Motorsports vehicle.
It's one of their project cars.
Its called The Predator( i think).

I agree with Indylude...its eye catchin and unusual but thats not what a prelude should look like!!!
Although the car would look best with the Predator drivin it!

SEARCH YOUTUBE FOR "4th gen honda prelude" AND THE VIDEO OF THE CAR IS THE *4TH* ONE DOWN!

i say D2's for suspension. you can plant it to weeds, and it'll still ride smooth. its dampening adjustable too

Do you have d2's? Because I think they ride like butt. The dampening isn't matched to higher spring rates that actually make a difference.

For the price, Koni yellows are still better, actually superior.

where is part 5. Interior?

Just as important as Exterior.

yes, very important if you are trying to build a "perfect" Prelude.

yes i do have D2's. I love um cause they're smooth. Everyone has a certain standard, some like it stiff and i like it soft and smooth...then i stiffen them up when needed
