Ok we're gonna do it the hard way:

1. go to autotrader.com and put in 30101 as area code and honda as maker and hit used cars
2. select prelude and 1992-1996 for the years
3. input 0 and 11000 for min and max price
4. Look for a 1993 VTEC for $4950 described as "brown" that is being sold by Capial One Auto.

Check it out and tell me what you think.

I used to have a 1993 VTEC in Granada Black Pearl. Granada Black Pearl is black with a red-ish pearl in it. It looked like a really dark brown in certain lighting conditions...

So you guys think its legit, and its just the way the light is hitting it??? I really wnat this car and for $4950 and under 150k miles its the best deal on a 'Lude I've ever seen. The only thing I want to know is the CArfax reports, but I really don't want to waste the money. Thanks for the help guys

If you are thinking about spending 5 grand on a car, another $20 won't hurt to make sure it has a clean history. It'll cost you alot more than $20 if there are problems the seller doesn't tell you about

hmmm. I have that color but the only time it looks anything but black is when it is wet then you can see the gold color in the in paint.

did you ever take into consideration that it might have an aftermarket paint job?

definitely an aftermarket paint job.

i'd think twice. any accident or fender bender and that color is going to be tough to match unless he has the color code and what not.

looks like a decent deal though it has almost 150k on it.

still a bit below book value or right at it i believe.
