broken plug

While taking off the intake manifold I broke a plug, it plugs into a black plastic box screwed into the bottom of the intake. I couldnt find it in my manual and I was wondering if anyone knew what it was, I think it is a emissions sensor but im not sure.
Thanks for the help,
John

I believe that would be the vacuum that opens the intake control diaphragm, which opens the butterflies in your resonator, giving you more air above 4200 rpms... I think.

I think it is a sign that you should get rid of your stock intake and buy a CAI. Otherwise you should replace it or else you are going to be starved for air up top.

yep, what yield said......you may not think so, or you may not even notice it when you get a CAI, but when you go from CAI back to stock, its a BIG difference and it helps gas mileage too
