FGarcia1, I bought the Prelude with a Viper alarm already in it because the pervious owner also had it broken into. Unfortunetly the alarm is like 8 years old and was nothing more than an eletronic door lock popper .
I almost bought the Compustar A/S like 2 months ago but I decided not to. My exact words to my friend trying to sell it to me were "I dont really have anything to protect... my car is basically stock.".......... go figure. I kick myself in the ass for being so naive (sp).

Damn, that's harsh. It sucks, I really should get an alarm myself. I live in a really peaceful town, and somehow I doubt my car'll be jacked (there are tons of BMW's, Porches, Corvettes, etc....), but I'm in that same mindset--"My car's stock, there's not much to protect." I really should invest in a good security system.
Say--is your sister holding herself responsible at all? Or are you shelling out all the money for your things on your own?
The following morning after it happened I started showing my mom the Compustar and then my sister chimed in and was like "Don't get one that expensive, I'm paying for it." so she is kind of taking the blame and offering to pay for stuff.
we will see though.... she still hasnt paid to get the front bumper re-painted after she hit a PARKED car. oh ya, she hasnt bothered to order a new right turn signal since she knocked out the last one by hitting a "box" on the highway. She also needs to buy me rims since she has curbed the passenger wheels to hell too. I cant wait until she gets her own POS Civic or something.

btw, she can afford a $800 dollar cruise for next spring break with her friends but she cant afford $200 to get our front bumper repainted .
She did all that to your car and you still lent it to her? Suffice to say you either really like your sister or... no, that's about the only explanation I have... hehehe...
I don't even lend my car to my own parents and they're probably better drivers than I am... But you should make her pay for the full cost of the Compustar alarm, or at least a good amount. Is it her right to tell you what to buy for your car when she's part of the reason you have to buy it anyway...?
In any case, good luck to you, hope you get some of your damages back.
Just reading this post gets my blood boiling, it pisses me off that i can't even really enjoy going to a movie or just about any public place because i spend the whole time inside worrying about some f'ing ghetto dumb ass breaking into my car. A few cars have been broken into in the parking lot at my workplace, but none had alarms, so maybe i've been lucky so far because of my alarm system... but it still makes me feel like i could have the same happen at any time. To any dumb ass ghetto thugs out there that might be reading this, if you are so tough then why can't you ever own up to anything after you do it? I read that previous post about a lil white boy walking up to all of those "eh ese", me so stupid thugs and they couldn't even own up to what they did. Every damn ghetto mutha****a is just a coward cuz they always have to have a gang with them or a weapon to stand up to anybody, buncha cowards, go get a damn job and work for something in your uneducated life instead of stealing from people who work for what they have. I think we should take everybody who has ever stolen, raped, or murdered and lock them into a large building together and let them have at each other until they are all gone... yes i am venting some anger, feel free to join me
