Breather Caps on Intakes

Hello...I was wondering, what does a breather do for your car? I see some people put them on. Will it make the car faster or the intake louder?

Depends on your car. If you have the K20 in your lude then at least 11HP. Lose 3 lb/ft torque tho.

I don't know what a breather cap is for an intake, but I know what a breather filter does on the valve cover.
