Breaking in a JDM engine

I'm going to get a jdm h22 in about three weeks. Will I need to break it in or anything. Or can I just start it up and rev the hell out of it? Also, I will be driving to Arizona a week after I get the engine installed. Is that going to be really hard on my engine? Will I need to get a full tune up before I go?

I'd make sure the valves are adjusted and everything is working nice (no codes or knocking ect, fresh oils ect) and then feel free to rev the living crap out of it.. that's what u bought it for!!!
