brakes turn to mush

sometimes when braking, the pedal just loses grip and sinks all the way down to the floor, it still brakes, but not as well as it should. this only happens sometimes. why is it??

i flushed my fluid before i replaced it, thinking it was air bubbles, but that did nothing. That exact symptom, if you search anywhere, more than likely means its the master. I'll bet money on that.

yeah mine has not done it in a while when I changed my brake pads and pushed the front pistons back in brake fluid went everwhere from the fluid over flowing the brank fluid tank which kinda sucked once the car was level I refilled the brake tank and wonder if it was air in the lines
