Brake Sensors?

Alright, so I was doing my clear taillight mod. I didn't notice this till my friend pointed it out. Everything went will with the mod BTW. He told me that my brake lights weren't working. I checked and they weren't. I checked the wires but theres only one plug that goes back there right? Thats fine. My tails go one when I switch on the lights. Its just the brake lights not working. Signals work fine! What could it be?

Check your brake light switch behind the brake pedal.

Oh forgive the backwards-ness of my JDM car. Your brake switch will be on the fusebox side of the steering column.
