Brake Problem | NEED HELP !!!

Today i was driving my car and when applied the brakes at the light to stop .. the brake pedal was acting so wired. It was pushing back and it seemed that my right side Front wheel was either not braking or as if it was locked or something. The pedal kept going in and pushing back and there was some sound on the right side. Anyways it did stop . . but inches away from the car in front. After that i went to a private parking and tested my brakes and it was prefect.. braking smoothly with no problems. After driving for another 5 min .. it happened again .. Now i am really scared to drive my car now .. I don’t know how to describe this problem .. I have never heard or had such a problem before.

i am going to check my brake fluid right now .. and the pads .. but i doubt that is the problem . Casue i checked all the fluid levels two days ago .. and had my brake pads checked 2 weeks ago.

Any suggestion guys .. did it happen to any of u before ?

If the right wheel was locked, you'd burn rubber.

What do you mean by "pushing back"? Was it a pulsating - ie abs? Did you try to press harder instead of panic backing off?

the thing is .. my ABS never worked before and always had ABS light on.. and yes it was the pulsating movement .. and i did press harder when it happened.

so if it is ABS why is it only working on one side ... i thought ABS doesn't work even if one sensor is not working. And the thing is I was only going 20 Km/h and the road wasn't slippery or anything… so why would ABS engage? And to test my brakes after I went to empty road and did 80Km/h and slammed on the brakes.. ABS didn’t work then .. and it braked the way it use to before i.e. no pulsating pedal.

My guess would be if it never worked, then obviously there's a malfunction somewhere - it could be open to any sort of problem if there's an issue with abs now. I have a friend with the same issue, ended up being the abs sensors

Are you still getting a code on the ABS systeM ?? (is the light on?) i'm not sure if there is a way to jump that code but uhm ...

Why would you zip around town with a light on indicating that your lights may malfunction??? .. You could do serious damage to yourself or somebody else (pedestrian, little kid .. ) on the road.

Get your brakes inspected by a dealership and ensure your ABS is functioning properly ... You dont want to be a 5" stop away from the next car because it could be 5" into the back end of the vehicle.

Thats the same problem i had with my abs, even after it had been gone for a while every now and then it would act up and do that. So i just removed the abs motor fuse. Hasnt done it since then. And then of course if you want to get your abs fixed my guess would be you need a front right wheel speed sensor.
