Brake problem?

I last week mot my 2.2 si vtec prelude the brakes past but they just didnt feel right the pedal kept sinking so i have replaced the master cylinder and the brake pedal now doesnt sink but it still seems to stop low down. It doesnt have abs could this be that it is supposed to have abs and someone has removed it as everything on it seems to have been set up for street racing?

Also ABS is independant of the regular brake system. You should still be able to brake w/o ABS.

Did you bench bleed the BMC?

Mine did the same thing when I first bought over a month ago. After commuting for a couple weeks of driving normally, the problem seems to have worked itself out for the most part...the system will slowly bleed itslef out, but it will never be as good as if you have them bled properly. The shop in town said it would between 40 and 70 dollars depending on how tough the bleeders are to get of which in my case are going to be really really difficult.
