Brake Pads...

I have searched and searched but can only find the info. on the fourth or third gen. but not on the fourth gen. What are the specs on the brake pads (size) and which is a good brand, because I need new brake pads all around.
Thanks

Dood I have never seen brake pads refered to in a particular size. Usually there is just a part number.. a specific appliation for a car.

I am running the AEM's and I have no complaints.. thing is I upgraded my whole brake system at once so I can't comment directly on the pads. Very little dust tho!!

I have some friends with the AEM's as well and they love them.

I upgraded the whole system at once, too, so I can't really give comments about how the pads improved things by themselves, but I used Hawk HP+ pads, and they work very well w/ my Powerslot rotors. While you're swapping out, you might as well upgrade to bigger calipers & rotors... just a thought.

I have AEM pads in the front. Very nice quality, and I haven't experienced any fade yet. You have a much better bite than the stock pads.

What ever you do, don't get AEM rear pads. Some reason, they look even cheaper than the Pepboys pads. I mean you can see the compound flaking off. I don't notice any difference with the rear pads, which shouldn't be a suprise.

If you completely upgrade your brakes, it'll cost at least $800 or so for the AEM kit, I think, don't quote me. But if you want better ones, you're looking at $1-2k. If you don't race the car, just get good pads and good fluid, it should be fine. I am VERY hard on my brakes and I have no complaint with the AEM pads and the Castrol fluid that I'm running now.
