After doing a front brake conversion/upgrade (swapped my Si calipers for VTEC calipers), and new pads all around, I'd strongly suggest Hawk HP-Plus pads. And the pads combined w/ some Powerslot rotors ... NICE! I had to relearn how hard to press my brake pedal, b/c the car stopped so much better. The only bad thing about MOST performance pads is that they make for more brake dust (except for maybe the EBC Red Stuff or Green Stuff pads). Do a search on pad upgrades, and see what you find. I like my new Hawks, and that's all I can say.

well...

I definitely would NOT recommend AEM pads for the rear . I had those 1st after stock. The rear began to squeal only a few months after I installed them. The front pads, however, held up pretty much OK.

Right now I am on Axxis MM pads, front and rear, only about a month on but I will say I am very pleased with them. You can even do a combo, just no AEM on rear! I'm sure others will agree. :-D later

I got AEM in the front and the only reason I really wanted them is my old crappy generic pads dusted sooo bad!!!!!!!!!! The AEM ones are low-dust and they stop the car better than my old pads. I like them!!! I dont have AEM in the rear.

I have AEM pads and brembo rotors up from they are nice The only problem with getting high friction pads is that they are going to tear up your stock rotors like no other. If you have a Pep Boys near by look at Raybestos, from what I hear they grip well and don't tear up rotors. But again if you get high friction pads plan on replacing or turning down your rotors soon.

ive just recently switched from stock to axxis metal master pads .. they do seem much stickier but the downside is increased brake dust and dirty wheels. i think im switching back to stock, making it easier to keep the car clean and saving the metal masters for the track - since its so easy to change out the pads.

how much would a set of rotors set me back? i was planning on resurfacing my stock ones and just getting some new pads but just curious as to how much more new rotors would be. The aem pads are just about the same price as stock, how much better do they stop the car than stock?

brembos cost $150 shipped to your door, you can buy them off of groupbuycenter.com just under the search type in brembo. They are worth the money. I would think brembo is a better brand than powerslot, and at gbc dot com they are cheaper too -- the aem pads are good, they'll stop you real quick
