so i go to walmart with my gf to get a few small xmas gifts and walk back to the car and my brake lights were on as if someone was holding the pedal. i searched around the net to try to find a solution but not really finding anything prelude specific on this problem. i unplugged all the lights for now so that it wouldnt drain the battery overnight tonight (hopefully thats enough without having to unplug the battery, i hate setting clocks =p). anyone know what i might do to fix it?

The brake light switch at the brake pedal has most likely gone bad.
Disconnect the plug then test it with an ohm meter or any multimeter to see if the resistance goes from 0 to some value when moving the switch.

i fixed it, it was actually the little rubber bumper that presses the switch to turn them off, it crumbled apart, the car is a 93 after all. =p

i just went to the auto store and found some bumpers that press in that looked kinda like it and rigged it.

I wonder why Honda used those crappy plastic pieces. They could have accomplished the same functionality by NOT drilling those holes in the first place
