Brake Lamp LED issue

Sup guys, my first post here . I have a question/problem. I just put LED lights to use as my brake/parking light. Right after I put them in the brake lamp light came on. I checked all of my lights and they all work fine. Any suggestions as to how I can leave the LED lights in there without having the brake lamp indicator come on? Thanx!

its because the LEDs dont draw enough amps to tell the circuit that your brake lights are in fact working. You could always disable the check circuit, I think its on one of the tail lights, black box, ton of wires. Consult a Helms manual for exact wire colors.

I'll see if I can dig my manual out and look for ya.

Exactly what he said, of why the light comes on. So yeah you can either disable the check circuit, or you can just take out the bulb in the dash.

www.helminc.com

or

ebay sometimes has them.

If you can find out what wattage the bulbs are you can get a resistor that matches the difference in the bulbs. Then you just wire it inline and it will see the correct resistance. Resistors are cheap at radio shack
