Bouncy Idle, PLEASE HELP.....

My car has a very bouncy idle...but when I unplug the IACV the it stops, but then my idle is way to low...so the car doesn't run well, and also the throttle is weird. Throttle is really touchy when the IACV is unplugged. What do you guys think?
THanks, Josh

Hey,
It isn't timing belt, mine is on to tyte I think(it whistles like a super charger). I have a JDM H22a. I didn't descibe the problem very well...It bounces between 750-1900, it doesn't do it right when I start my car, only after it has warmed up a bit. Then sometimes it goes away after like 10 minutes. Other times like last nite, I drove my car for 1 1/2 hours and it was still doing it when I pulled in my driveway. thanks,
Josh

That's your problem. Return it back to stock, and the car will idle like normal.

I am surprised that no one told you that by now.

hey billy, my buddy and I just swapped a JDM H22 in his car. And his idle does the exact same thing, but, he didn't do the bypass...any clue why it's idling stragely? Bad TPS sensor maybe?

Check the IAC and make sure it's hooked up and working correctly.

Im having the same problem.... I think it has something to do with the TPS sensor and the idle adjustment screw... Im still playing with it. I can get it to run normally if I adjust the idle adjustment screw, but it returns to the bouncy idle a little later...

Hey,
Well it was the Fast idle bypass that was the problem. That mod worked fine with the h23, but it obviously doesn't work with the h22. It runs fine now!
Thanks guys,
Josh
