I am a dealer in NC. Bought a 96 Prelude Si, 5 Speed today!
Car has 127k miles. Very nice cond.
Trying to decide to keep it or not? The car has been lowered and the bump stops in the back are "clunking" over every imperfection in the road. I am going to have the normal springs put back on the car tomorrow and checked thoroughly.
The car runs excellent and is impressively FAST! I must say I was suprised. I guess I'll keep it for now. Only had it a couple hours, and I can see it's growing on me!
if u plan on modding it, then...you're going to have to deal with obdII. otherwise, congrats on the car. 127k miles for a '96? that seems kinda of a lot. hopefully u didn't overpay...
The car does have a lot of miles for the year (I own a 96 w/ 83k miles, and I drive the hell out of mine) ... BUT, Honda engines will give you 200k w/ simple maint. JOIN THE CLUB ... KEEP IT!!! You know you want to keep it, hehehe.

Anybody want to buy my Lude? (Will sell in either stock or fairly modded trim).
I wrecked mine now I got a 93 SI wit 112k for 5000! and $2500 for my mods I love insurance. Also filed taxes! So I would say keep it Your gonna love your lude, I dont think I would buy any other car.
I have a 96 SI, the clunking is shock knock. I took mine in and got my struts relubed, took care of that. They also say the rear strut collar could be warn down, in which case the'll change it if you bring it in. The sound sucks and is extremely annoying, but very easy to fix. there is a TB out there for it. -Padge
