Blown Head Gasket! anyone try one of those repair kits?

so i just got confirmation that i have [at the very least] a blown head gasket....can smell it and see the obvious white smoke....dont think its too bad yet since i dont see any sign of coolant in my oil so im considerin trying one of those bottle sealants....im not spending hundreds to fix this motor with prob over 180k on it...if anything, if the repair kit doesnt work..ill prob swap the motor in a few months...

so anyway...anyone got any experience or know anything about any of those head gasket sealants/repair kits etc...? heres 2 pics i snapped at my local auto store of what they had in stock...

Where the hell have you been? Where are all the pictures of the Prelude?

This product will work on your head gasket, but I don't believe it's as permanent of a fix as it says. I believe the downside of it is that when it does fail again, another bottle of this won't do the trick and if you go to pull the head off, you may find it cemented (in a way) to the block.

Although a head gasket is somewhat of an expensive fix, I'm sure it's nowhere near the amount of money for a new motor. Plus you get your timing belt replacement all done at the same time and can save money on that.

Oh, and one last thing, weren't you an awful speller before? I vaguely remember you typing all thug-style and getting made fun of. Nice to see you've changed!

lmao nah not a bad speller at all...jus abbreviated more than most....everyone was just talkn sht about me wanting to run the stretched tires and a staggered setup on my lude...which for everyones information...hasnt had any problems and turned out to look sick IMO and many others lol...heres the pic thread i had posted on here bak a while ago ... the 3 month restoration/transformation...PICS (middle of page)

but neway...i might just try some of the stuff for now ...if it works..well thas wassup and if not, i guess h22 it is......i know the motor will obviously be more but im not spending hundreds to have the same sht motor i currently have when i could just spend 2 or 3x more and have a better faster younger motor
