blower motor resistor module

Can anyone guide me to where this part is? The blower motor resistor module. and what to look for as far as damage.

I just had my climate control repaired and my blower switch was burned(it was stuck and would not turn up past 2 on the 1-2-3-4 switch. I want to make sure this wasnt responsible before i slap the climate control back in the dash.

if i sound like a complete retard then i apologize, im not too educated on how the climate control works.

it is ontop of the box the blower is in. you can get to it with it in the car but it isnt easy. you have to take the passanger airbag out and the glove box and use a 90 degree screwdriver or a 1/4 ratchet with a 8mm socket on it

The best way to get to the blower motor resistor module is to slide the front passenger seat all the way back and empty out the glove box. Then release the two side clamps holding the glove box being careful not to break them, and remove the glove box from the dashboard assembly. After the glove box is removed, stick your head directly underneath the dashboard and look up underneath. You will see the cover of the blower motor housing that his held in with four hex screws. Remove these screws and the cover will drop down. Once the cover drops down you will be able to look up into the blower motor housing and further into the dashboard cavity.

Note: You CANNOT remove the resistor block from the inside! As it is attached to the resistor plug on the outside of the firewall from within the engine compartment, directly below the windshield wiper cowl right behind and slightly to the right of the passenger side strut tower.

To proceed with removing the resistor, you need to reach up and grab both sides of the resistor module- there are small bumps in the metal on both sides that you need to press inward. Press the sides of the resistor in while pushing the module firmly out towards the firewall. The unit should push forward and pop out towards the engine compartment. Next open the hood and carefully try to pull the resistor block module all the way out WITH the plug still in it. Do NOT try to remove the plug from the resistor block module while it is still in the hole.
