black trim????

i want to paint the black trim ( lip and sides) the same color as my car. what should i use? i don't want to take it to a shop and have them charge me an arm and a leg. has anyone done this themself? if so how easy is it and what did you use?

Sand, primer, matching paint, clear coat. Its not hard, but does take time. And you have to find matching paint. I used plastic kote spray paint

its honda r81 paint, but not the original, it was repainted in 98 i believe

i didnt do all that. I just taped it off, sprayed an adhesion promotor on the trim peices then used a red from plastikote that is supposed to be for hondas. i turned out pretty good. primer would have helped though cuz i had to use a lot to get it to cover the black. but yeah, its really easy and looks tons better : )

hey Omega3001x do you have any pics of how your lude ended up? i mean i'm going to get a bodykit in like 6 months or so but that dumb black trim is gettin to me and i want to do something about it. if you can post the pics here or email me at osofast10@hotmail.com {anyone with pic is more the welcome to email me also.}
