Black Strip Below Rear Window Cracking

Ill post a pic as soon as i can take the pic.. but the black strip (looks like a weather strip), below the rear window, above the trunk line, on my 4th gen.. is starting or has been cracking..

what can i do about it?

i was thinking just covering it with black electric tape but thats ***.. haha please someone help.. thanks

True thats why you paint it. If you wipers in the front have the paint coming off do you but new ones or paint the ones you have?

Yeah, but then you spend that 90 bucks, and a few years later, that one goes to hell too. I'm gonna paint mine once I get annoyed enough with it.

Oh... I painted both. I agree that it is a big chunk of change but I have to replace mine cause it isn't all there. Parts of it have chipped off the edges. I have still painted it until I drop the 60 bucks on it. I have a hook up at the Honda dealer.

tape it off like tape is going out of style and than paint that ****, thats what i did it looks a lot better.

heh! I did the ghetto-kev-style electrical tape.. You can't tell unless you are within a couple of feet. ( I will be repainting it, I'm just lazy)

spray paint works really good on the wipers. mine came out good, except in like 2 spots where the paint started bubbling cuz of water or cuz the paint remover didnt wash off too good there, who knows.

i got another one from a wrecking yard, 15 bucks, but it wouldve been cheaper, i also got the plastic piece around my shifter, since it had cracked...now its all nice and black again hehe..
