Best SS Brake Lines for the 4th gen...

Bottom line, which set of ss brake lines is best suited for the 4th gen? I heard Russels' rear lines are too long or something like that. I've heard good and bad about Goodridge, but I don't really know what's substantiated.

<-- never even knew they varied between companies. I figured they all just copied the OEM ones, and substituted braided stainless for rubber.

I know there were some cheap 1's that had the wrong fitting on them. So when you tried to tighten the new SS lines on to the caliper, the hole stripped and the caliper had to be replaced, or something like that. I'll have to do some searches to find the post about it.

Notes: Shop carefully for SS Brake lines

you dont want a bent brake line, if you're talking about zip tieing it so it doesnt hang down and get snagged or ripped off by the wheel then damn, they messed up making them if they are that freekin long.

^^ well it seems that's the case with all of them, until someone actually posts about a line being better than others.

to my knowledge, Russel, Goodridge, Neuspeed (from what I've heard), Endless and a few others I can't remember make lines for the 4th gen. Endless doesn't appear to sell their lines separate of a bbk, I don't know much about Neuspeed's lines, but I've heard the lines run a bit long with both Russel and Goodridge's.

I got some Earl's SS lines... they work great... the length is the same as stock & the mounting brackets line up perfectly.

I installed all 4. Everything came in the package. The first one took me about 30-40 min cuz I hadn't done it before.... but once I knew what to do... the reast took under 20min. Shoot I think the bleeding took longer hahaha. They don't feel as firm right now cuz my brake master has a small leak & my pads are starting to wear more & more.... If you decide to get them... I would suggest changing your pads at the same time & rotors if possible. Pads I would go with Hawk... kickass pads. Rotors.. I would get some Brembo blanks.
