Some people like the H23A or F22B (JDM) for turbo as it has slightly lower compression ratio... I have a 92 with an H22 swap, I have to say the H23 had just as much for me on the bottom end. These blocks are not turbos best friend.

I've just been led to believe that H23 and F22 non-vtec engines like turbo more than the vtec h22... not sure why (other than compression ratio), the block is basically the same.

f22a1 is good for boost. Piece together a homemade turbo kit for it and it will be golden.
