MTEC's are the best non-HID's I think. They run so hot you need a lil addon wiring harness, though. I've had all 4 buls for a year and counting now.

H4 SUPER PLASMA GT-X
A new addition to PIAA’s stable of high performance bulbs is the Super Plasma GT-X. The new GT-X provides an exclusive purple low beam and an Xtreme White high beam. And if that weren't enough! PIAA has added a purple colored top coat giving the headlamp a purple look even when the lamp is turned off.

Twin Pack 15962
Single Pack 15961
Bulb Type H4
Wattage 60/55w = 135/125w, 3800K/5000K
Technology Super Plasma GT-X with XTRA Technology

Raybrig i think are the best bulbs out there. They are quite expensive and cost about the same as Piaa but last longer and don't pop as fast as the piaa. I used raybrig in my car before the hid kit.

MTEC 100W H4

Bright, reaches far distance. Highly recommended over PIAA.

^^ that screams for an electrical fire unless of course you are using a different harness for it ... something I believe using PIAA's doesn't necessitate. Still, damn, that's gotta be bright.

Yup, it'll melt the stock wiring. A pair of MTEC bulbs on ebay is about $15. Then you need a harness and you're set. My harness cost 50 bucks.

Harnesses do not cost $50, you can purchase high wattage harness from pep boys for a few bucks. or look around. I got mines from Pepboys and they have no sign of melting anywhere. It clips on and off to the prongs with ease. Stays pretty bright. I'm planning to put on projectors because it's brightness would look nice with projectors.
