I've mainly heard bad things about silverstars. They are bright but supposedly they blow up in a few months. Not a good thing. PIAA is good, but if you want cheaper I've also heard good things about Philips - i think they are called blue vision.
PIAA h4s they are absolutly incredible. . . . when driving at night at first glance they look like HID had them in my ford focus (first car) had them in my del sol (second car) and now have them in my lude they look awsome! and last forever.
yes the type is the h4 it says piaa h4 h.i.d. I had them in my focus for 2 years (crashed it) had them in my del sol for 4 months (sold it) and had them in my prelude for 2 months.
alright well i can get them an 2 import shops that i know of darkside motoring and 1 other 1 that i cant think of :P but if you just ask your local import shop they might have them. . . .o ya 1 more thing they are 90 bucks that the only thing, but worth every penny (i think)
okay so i'm slightly confused, are those bulbs for regular headlamps or only for you special people who can afford hid's, because my bulbs on my car suck and i wanted to see if i could upgrade that anyway for something less than investing in a full on hid system, college is expensive, and there are other things that bug me on my car
PIAA are pricey. Philips and silverstars are a lot less. I don't know if it's nationwide but the pepboys around me are having sales on silverstars. I haven't seen philips in stores, just online:
American Silverstars are blue, dunno what you want to find, but I can't stand the blue look.... I like the PIAA Star White or the Platinum White bulbs. 4th gen bulbs are 9006s, H4s won't fit... or are you talking about something different? JDM housings or something?
I've had H4 and H1 silverstars for, well, I have no idea, but it's been at least 4 months now. While I'm not $hits and giggles about the brightness, they are definitely a lot brighter than stock, and weren't incredibly expensive, but hindsight tells me I should've just spent 2x as much on the PIAAs and not ever have HID envy.
