After doing my research a few years ago when I bought my RS*R it was the best streetable performance around. It was quiet with a very deep "meaty" (according to the cops who have pulled me over) time and again... =\ But i have my sound paperwork along with CHP Bulletin 98-100 that gets me off the hook all the time in Cali...

But I think as for sound looks and performance that RS*R is the best Cali street legal exhaust on the market if you can find one.

That may be hard since Racing Beat ended its agreement with RS*R of Japan at the end of 99 or the beginning of 00 and no one is currently importing RS*R in large quantities anymore. However I have heard a few rumors that RS*R may soon be comming back to the states with a new distributor =) but I dont know for sure as of yet.

I have an RS*R too but come on guys the Apexi WS is supposed to sound identical. I guess once something is no longer available it becomes really desireable...
