I have a VIS oem style hood. Fitment is great

The invader hoods are nice too...a little heavier but still a very good improvement over stock

slo mo... do you have to put hood pins on the CF hood? I'm thinking it looks better w/o hood pins and was wondering if you need the hood pins. Thanks! Did you have a local shop order it or did you order direct from VIS? Thanks man!

No hoodpins for me. It's not really necessary unless you plan on driving at insane speeds. At 100-110kph (ie. speed limit) there is no movement of the hood.

I ordered my hood from a shop.

VIS probably has the best hoods for you, i have the one with the inverted scoop, no hood pins are needed, i drive on the freeway nearly everyday and taken a few trip to cali with it. Its kinda scary with the hood woobling around, but it stays. As for OEM or inverted scoop, depends on the body kit you have, if you have a subtle kit, like WW RS, then i suggest the oem style cause the invert scoop is too agressive for that kit IMO.

Should also look into Aerogear new predator hood, they just came out in carbon fiber form, got vents, but they don't budgle up.

the vis looks good and fits good but in comparison for weight saving it is the heaviest CF hood in the market.. the lightest is spoon but its a little more spendy and hard to come by the fiber images hood is a lighter hood that also fits well

I have a fiber images and it fits perfect. I get a lot of complements on how well it fits and how good the weave is.

I heard the fiber images hood doesn't have smoothed/rolled edges (like it's just cut) does anyone know if the VIS carbon fiber hood has smoothed edges? Thanks!

the VIS cf hoods have rolled edges so the cf goes about 6" past the edges and to the underside of the hood. Looks really clean...

I could take some pics of my hood once I get my new digital camera for christmas.
