Ok after my jdm h22 swap my car would squeal when i started it up and it would do it at idle sometimes. now it squeals through the whole RPM range. i dunno if its the belt or pulleys but it is very annoying and i need to know how to make this stop. oh yeah and my idle is still going from 1200 and drop to 800 and doing so when i idle with the headlights on

make sure your alternator has a real clean connection. tighten up the belts so there is no squeal when you start it. it sounds like the belt just lost more and more tension. squealing= loose accesorie belts.

well if this was the case. could i tighten it myself. i dont have a helms and i dont even know if i have the tools. if this isnt the case would it be ok if i just ordered aem power pullies because dont those come with the belts and the pullies? i figured its not worth my money to replace the belts if im getting the aems soon.
