belt length

So the problem with my ac compressor got a little worse. It seized on me and fried the belt. My question is, what length belt do i need to get in order to cut out the ac compressor? I don't have the money to get the compressor fixed right now, but i need the alternator that the belt also went around.

93 VTECH, almost forgot to put that in.

go to the auto part store and ask for an alternator belt for a 1992 prelude S (no A/C)
they will give you a short 5 ribbed belt. if your pulleys accept a 6 rib belt you might want to get that one instead.
i just did this last week and it worked perfectly.

Yeah, i had just called the auto parts store and they gave me some line about needing to know the length or something. Thus why i posted. If that will work fine, I'll do that then.

I still need to tension mine to be 100%, but I believe it's a 27" 6 ribbed belt. It looks right, but like I said, I still need to tension it a bit.
