this might sound dumb, but having never seen an optima i have to ask... you say the terminals are on the wrong side... whats preventing you from turning the battery?

(I think I have that right, otherwise, if not, just switch the words around) Anyway, if you turn the battery around, Pos (or the top one) will now be closer to the middle of the car, but at the bottom, and I'm not sure the cable (pos or neg, whichever it is) will stretch that far forward. But Like I said, if you just leave it like it is, the post and neg cables will stretch, besides Trust has one and says the cables will stretch.
