Hey everyone! I kinda needed a new battery. I know my battery isnt in good condition and it does cost alot of money but i need it. What ever my car needs, i get! So what kind of battery is good? I currently have the interstate one and was hoping to find one with a blue top? Anyways, what kind is good? Anywhere good to get them? How much? Any links?

You mean you want a battery with a blue top to match your engine bay? Eh, that's gonna be hard without painting it. I'd have to say almost all batteries that come colored, and have a blue top will be a marine battery, and you don't want one.

I'd suggest a ret top optima, the more expensive of the 2 red tops if you can afford it, if not, the lesser one is fine too (it's like a $10 difference). They're one of THE best batteries out there. I've never been able to drain mine, and I've had my system on for over 2 hours with the car off... started right up! Made an improvement in accesories and my sound system.

Get a yellow top Deep cycle battery from Optima, I think there actually made by interstate, but there called optima, there is a blue which is marine, red which is like big suv type vehicle, and yellow which is just for us... im gonna get a yellow top, and just spray paint it blue

http://www.optimabatteries.com/produ...ycle/index.asp

there is a link to 1, but any car and battery place will have them in stock.

No, marine is bad... always. You never use marine batteries in a car. Deep cycle yes, marine no. If money isn't a problem, you can get a yellow top then, it's the most powerful, but you'll never need that much.

No one said a marine battery was good for your car, it's not. They yellow top will fit, but the terminals are backwards, in that (if you're looking at your engine bay standing at the front of the car) instead of the terminals being on the right side of the top of the battery, they're on the left, closer to your air box. You'd have to make sure your cables will stretch far enough over, I took mine off to test, and I'm pretty sure it'll go the distance. As far as size, I don't believe there will be a problem, you *might* need a bigger tie down, but that's about it, oh, besides someone mentioning possible conflict with a V2 intake installed. In the end, it all depends on how you're using it (I know, everyone says it ... but that's because it makes sense). What do you have in your car, or plan to put into it? If just some upgraded speakers, a small amp etc, maybe a small(er) sub, the red top will be more than enough. The price difference between the two isn't that bad, but your car accomodates one better than the other, and that is the red top.

Yellow top fits a 4th Gen no prob. Just gotta stretch the cables some to reach cuz they are in fact towards the fender.

Interstate is good, and so is Powerhouse, I didnt even know that company existed, and i've never seen them around b4, but my car has one in it, and i've never had one problem, i just simply need more power since im going to have 2200 watts feeding off it.

Actually, Interstate now makes Honda's batteries, (I caught glimpse of a memo on my pop's desk at work last time I went to visit him), so I'd imagine they must be reputable, although Honda has of late made some $hitty decisions, such as using Visteon parts like the head light switch in new Civics which there is an open recall on because it can catch on fire and melt dashboard plastic which can actually fall on you in globs ... sorry, got carried away again.

I heard the same w/Interstate being bullet proof. (figure of speech) Red optima's are like $100, Yellow $139. Interstate's around here go for about $80 so I'd option for a Red Top Optima at least.
