Make sure your terminals are clean and tight . . . if one were loose, it could cause a momentary loss of continuity.

well i took it to a firestone shop and had them check the battery alternator and starter and they said they were all good. and they cleaned the terminals when they looked at it. and i just checked how tight they were and that was good to go.

any other ideas???? help would be great.

im going to replace the alternator tomorrow and see if thats it cause the honda dealer in South Dakota said the it might be going out.

but like i said anyones input would be great.

Clean the main ground. I don't know if they did that when they were checking but better to rule out one more cause.

Corrosion can get allll the way into the wire through the insulation also. I just did mine a few days ago.

i had this same problem... this past summer after driving around the battery light would flicker on and some times jump turn on and off really fast and i noticed that it seemed to be when i hauled ass or after i let go of the gas. My problem seems to be that my engine bay is too hot and its cooking the wires from the alternator since they are right next to the header. so it sounds like your problem is maybe not exactly the same as mine but those wires are probably the problem cuz i changed my alternator three times and swapped 2 batteries and it still isnt fixed, which really sucks, so yea check out those wires that hook up to the alternator those are probably gonna be the problem.

if your alternator is starting to fail, you battery will not be getting charged properly, so checking the battery should be the first step. If the battery is ok, then the alternator is charging it sufficiently, so the next logical place to look is the wiring, starting from the battery terminals.

well i have looked in the engine bay and it looks as though the plug that connects to the alt. has a broken clip and doesnt like to stay on. so im thinking that might be the problem. i was gong to to change the alt. last week but didnt have all the tools so i didnt but i pulled all the wires off and put them back on and it hasnt happened sence.

so that all for now, i am carrieing an alt around just in case it does go when im some where then i can take it some place and just have it put on.
