Ballast resistor or???
I got a 92 Prelude that recently started an intermittent problem where it will only run when the key is held in the "crank" position. Let it go back to "on" and it shuts down. Ddes this for a few minutes then starts and runs fine. Years back I had a Porsche that did this but not intermittently, once it broke it did it all the time. With that car the problem was a bad ballast resistor. I called the auto parts store and they say the prelude doesn't need one. In that case I guess its the ignition module or coil? The thing has to have something that does the job of the ballast resistor...any ideas???
Thanks and God bless,
