I have the same problem with my 94 si. If im not mistaking it has to be pressed out/in. As of where to take it to get it done my best guess is maybe a local mech shop IDK. This being said you will have to remove the wheel bearing seeing how it is attached to it. If you do find any positive results then please post them up so I can see how you did it. Im going to look around and try to find out and maybe do mine on the 1st as well so if i find anything out i'll do the same for you.

You don't need anything but a hammer to take the balljoint out. Just hammer onto the stud of the balljoint till it presses out. As far as installing the balljoint, you need balljoint press tool that you can rent out at like a Kragen or something. Its pretty much a big C-clamp.

Im about to be doing the same thing. I have a civic and i can get both front ball joints out and new ones in within 20 minutes. The prelude looks way different since the hub bearing has a ring sticking out and blocks the ball joint from coming out, My Civic is easy but maybe there is something im overlooking.

Any insight, ideas.....?
