Baking JDM Headlights

Someone please let me know at what temp and for how long to do it for was gonna do a retro-fit but decided against it, now i am just gonna black them out cause they r the clear ones

sell the clear ones and get real JDM black ones....there are areas of the lenses cover thats black as well, not just the housing...i.e. the corner (which i dont know how u would make black)....

I would be really scared to do this! It is easy to melt a section of a lens by accident. I was being really careful and melted one of my tails... but they are much cheaper to replace.

If you are really scared use a hair dryer it might take you longer but you don't have to worry about melting the headlight. I've done it 3 different times.

Be careful with a heat gun they get really hot. If you hold it in one spot too long it WILL melt the plastic.

yea just did it with a heat gun worked great now i am wondering what would be the best way to seal them

yeah same as oem **** it is great reguylar silicone wont hold as well as this, if you whant to do a clean job and know you whont get and condensation use this stuff

i want to do the same thing, but what paint should i use and should i sand the housing?if so what grit? anyone have pics they can post, it would be a life saver.
