My distributor bearing is going bad on my 96 Prelude. It's been making a very loud, high pitch squealing noise. It doesn't make the noise all the time, but it's happend a few times, usually for a few seconds.
Can I just replace the bearing? I found just the bearing online for $20.
On ebay, I found a Distributor Bearing Shaft Assembly for $50. It's for an Accord, but I think it will work on my car too.
I have a new cap and rotor, but I wasn't sure what I need to replace the bearing. If I get a distributor from a junkyard, do they usually come with a bearing?
Thanks,
Del
