Anyone know of a seat that looks good in a 94, yet is "fat guy friendly"? I am tall and on the larger side and the seats in this thing arent the most comfortable. Looking for suggestions.
Bride or recaro are pretty wide but you're gonna have a hard time finding much due to the limited real-estate in the prelude.
I think that the accord seats from that generation and later will fit, snugly mind you, but the rails will likely need to be modified to bolt in.
I think custom/from another car is your best option.
If the stock seats aren't comfortable for you, aftermarkets are usually going to be worse because of the size.
Not necessarily going for an after-market seat. I was more or less just looking for recommendation's on seat swaps people might have done or if anyone has run into this problem themselves. If the stock seats didn't have that lame ass metal bar on the sides of the lumbar area the stocks wouldn't be that bad. If no one has done any stock seat swaps I suppose I shall just break out the measuring tape, find a seat I like in that size range, and go from there.

Have you sat in a Bride seat? They are nothing close to wide.

Yeah, in a 300zx, but it's been years, and I was a lot smaller. You're probably right. I remember the upper area being pretty wide *shrug*

Never realized the weight limit for that. Sorry for sounding like a know it all...

That's why I was thinking accord seats.
The prelude seats are 22" and the accords are 24" for the 2000 range accord.
I was thinking of buying some off ebay cause my seats are shredded, and there's a little leeway on the sides in the prelude, but not much.
I have a much wider back than I did even a few years ago, and my back doesn't exactly fit the bolsters either, so I feel ya.
Procar seems to make a decent looking sport seat I just saw in summit. they are expensive but may be worth it. I am going to call and get measurements tomorrow.
Honestly and I hate to say this but the APC seats are pretty fat guy friendly. This coming from another fat kid. I sat in 1 when they had them on display at Pep Boys and I was impressed.
I've had the same issue with the stock 96' seat wings being a bit norrow for my awesome girth. After much research I ended-up putting gen 5 seats (99') in and they are MUCH more comforatable. The front mounting points line up perfectly, you will need to drill holes for the rear mounting points. No big deal at all, just use large fender type washers and nylock nuts/bolts.
I got them (like new) from a honda/accura junk yard for $80.
Accord rails are much further apart, civic is close but about 1/2" wider than lude's
