Automatic Transmission Problem?

Hi guys, I'm interested in buying a Prelude. I was leaning towards the fifth gen, until i found out about the automatic transmission problems. I would rather drive automatic then manual, so I'm now looking at 4th gens. I wanted to know, do 4th gens have any kind of automatic transmission problems similiar to those of the 5th gen? Thanks for any help

4th gen auto trannys are stronger than the 5th gen SS ones. They are still significantly slower than the 5spd's, but they are not known to fall apart prematurely.

Also if you're from the US the auto prelude don't come with the VTAK.
