Hey,

I was wondering if on a JDM H22A swap it would be a good idea to pull the manual timing belt tensioner off my H23. I ask because I have heard some bad things about the auto tensioner.

Yet another question in my endless series in researching my swap.

i dont think there are probs with the jdm auto tensioners, but i would prolly use the manual, its easier to work with

For my high lift cams and stiff valvetrain I am using a manual tensioner.

You don't need to, but it you use the H23, life is much easier and it won't ever 'fail'
