auto tranny shifting problems

Hey guys,

I knew I shouldn't have gotten an auto tranny but it's too late to worry about that. Basically the transmission is shifting at these crazy rpm's. like normally it's suppose to do it at 3000rpm if I'm doing normal driving but now it's shifting at 4000, 5000 or not even at all!!! If I have to get a new tranny, it's for sure gonna be a manual, too much headaches with the car but I still love it to death, even if it doesn't love me.

Peace

I know not a lot of you drive auto's so leave the flames to yourself, don't wanna hear it. Just wanna hear help or "nice" suggestions. Thanks.

Hmmm, sounds like its sticking a bit...some minor maintenance might be needed...for one friend...once he got new spark plugs and did a valve adjustment...everything was much crisper...it could be more..but that might be the easy solution...if u've done these lemme know..I have other suggestions..

I dont know for sure what is wrong, but Im wondering have you checked your fluid level lately? If its low, it will have trouble getting into gear and shifting.

I would check this to start.

Sometimes the acutor springs wear out and cause this. But this usually results in not being able to go into gear....Auto trannies are fun huh?

Anyways, sorry that I cant be of more help.

Holy ****, solved the problem. I had absolutely no transmission fluid at all!!! Gotta have it checked out though for damage and possible leakage.

Thanks for the help peeps.

Peace
