Is it possible to replace auto tranny engine with a manual ?

Yes. Ask prelude2war about this if you need some info, he did the changeover on his car.

ok thnx, im planning to convert my auto to manual...but im curious how its done and how much will it cost me, if i do this, the auto stick inside the car will be replaced with a manual stick right?

Yes the stick gets replaced. After the swap it should be just like a regular 5 spd execpt for the dash.

a lot? i have nto a clue but i am guessing it would not be a cheap investment. probly a good one if u have the money.

Well, if you can find a wrecked manual Prelude in the junkyard, you could get the tranny for pretty cheap. Don't forget to get the clutch pedal.

Not from a junkyard!! You can get stuff so cheap from the JY. I love the JY!! At one here in town, they had 2 wrecked 4th gen VTEC's, and they only wanted $400 for the complete motor. It helps when they don't know what they have, too. The only thing that sucks, if you pull it yourself, you're more than likely in sand (the jy's here all have either sand or rocks, no grass), and it really sucks hauling it to your car, but you can't beat the prices.

if u get a used tranny from the junkyard, wouldnt it be best to have someone look at it and make sure nothing inside is mseed up?
