auto CV shaft on manual?

i'm doing my manual swap. me and my friend worked on it since last nite at 10 pm until now... 7am... almost got done but i have a question. the guy i bought the parts from told me that Automatic CV shaft is same as the manual one so he didn't give me his... but i'm thinking i need it. does anyone know if there is any difference between them? 'cuz when i was taking the car apart... the automatic one was a long one that went across. don't i need the half shaft? i have the intermediate shaft... is that all i need? or do i need the manual CV shaft? i also heard that manual ones are stronger. is that true? please let me know ASAP so i can finish up the swap. Thanks...

To my knowledge, the axles for the automatic is some what different in length than the manual ones... To be safe than sorry, get the manual ones.
