can we verse on your car a lil bit?

i have the same front kit and am having the upper grill filled in as well. dont think im taking your idea cause this is the first i've seen your car. and i've already had it done, just waiting to get my car back.

but how do you like the kit? any problems with the fiberglass waving around or stressing the paint? i've heard the horror stories of the fiberglass front ends but all the same i got it. do you have any lowering springs or suspension? i have eibach pro kits and my z1boxter is about 3 inches off the ground. not too good in my mind but looks nice.

also, the crower springs and retainers. you're not running cams, just the spring/retainer setup? looks like you're purposes were for the extra revving ability, no? exactly why i wanted to get them but everyone here keeps stressing the heat and stress factory on stock parts isn't worth it. although you have a need since you have the extra head work. i was just curious about the cams and why you do not have them, or have not listed them. i was planning on getting the spoon ecm which is only 8.5k and im told not to do so.

um, also on the injector bit. its mentioned in the website on your sig that the stock injectors are 345cc's. did you swap in the jdm motor? because i have the jdm motor and my injectors were balanced and blueprinted at RC as well and they found them to flow 350cc's flat on 3 and 348 on one. i was thinking maybe that was why your motor put out 180 some hp to the wheels.

i had more to ask but i forgot...see sig pic

well where do i begin...

the kit...
i have had the kit for almost a year with no problems at all... well aside from having to take ridiculous angles into my driveway=) i have neuspeed 1" drop springs, i would like to go with sportlines or coilovers but im afraid i cant do that until i get the 18" SE37's i want =( im just afraid im at my limit right now...

props for filling in that ugly ass grille =) im glad some one else has some taste =)

the reason i dont have cams....
1) i dont have the money right now for them...
2) when i did have money... like when i did the head work.... the crower ones werent released yet and i wanted to see what everyones opinions were on them before i bought cams.

i wanted the extra revving cause its cool =) but really.. i didtn want to tear apart my head again later... cams are really easy to change i could do that in about an hour...dont worry ill get them my car isnt near being complete.

let me know if you have any other questions

oh i missed your question on the injectors...

i never had my injectors tested, so i dont know what they were flowing... my motor is the US 96 vtec motor. I did see in either super street or sport compact car some time ago that my stock injectors for the US 96 vtec was 345...ill have to check my magazines to get you any more info.

for some reason im thinking that the 5th gen ludes had smaller injectors like 320 or something maybe thats why youre wondering about my 345 injectors... but not sure where that came from so dont quote me on that

ah...i see says the blind man...

for some reason i had it in my head that h22's were 310cc's but i can't remember where i sourced that from so...

neuspeed springs eh? mikerenz had those on his g4 and he didn't have a kit, but his front end looked lower than mine WITH the kit!! when i mentioned my front is about 3 inches off the ground, that's at the lowest point of the kit by the front of the wheels. may i ask where yours lands at? yea i want coilovers as well but i have other necessities so...

do you have a 1320 that you would disclose to me? with your ecm allowing you to pass to 9.5k where do you shift at? like i said most will argue that there is no use for the h22 to rev that high without cams but with your more aggressive ecm i was wondering maybe that helps a bit? some will even argue that the h22 has no business going that high even WITH cams. your take?

are these the extensions of all the modifications on your 96?

my front bumper is also at its lowest point right next to the front bumper, i have about 3-4 inches there.

without cams, i really dont see any point in going past 8500 unless you dont want to shift into 4th at the end of the 1/4 run. the motor does start to sound really cool then but on my dyno the power started dropping at 8500 and then plumeted at 9000.

i think the problem with the h22a for reving that high is the size of the motor and all the moving mass... as opposed to the many b16's and B18s around here reving to 10k. Id like to experiment with a flywheel and see if how the powerband looks after that... then id like to work on my bottom end and lighten all that up and see how that helps. I hope all that makes since... maybe i seem stupid for doing this but i really want to one day keep making power to 10,000rpm. I'll never have the displacement of a V8 so i figure that my little honda has to make the power elsewhere =)

thats pretty much all i have done... money is just too hard to come by. But ill let you know how the car goes as i come across more cash for it.
