ATTN: People with jdm folding mirrors

Although I do not own a fourth gen I have a question that I am sure one of you will know about the relay for your folding mirrors. How does it work? Do you have to hold the button for them to fold? Or is it just push once and they fold in, then push again and they fold out? Thanks in advance,
Danny

Danny,

It depends on the relay that you use. If they have the JDM relay it will close with just one push of the button. Same way going out. They should fold in when the car is shut off and fold out when it is turned on. If you use a different relay(like the one you get from radio shack) you will have to hold the button to get them to go in and turn the car off to keep them in. Then they will go back out when you turn the car on.

Andy

How fast do they fold in when you hold the button?

Just to confirm any queries, the mirrors on a JDM car will fold in/out with one push of the button. They are not controlled by the ignition, i.e. they won't fold in if I take the key out, or vice versa.
