ATTN: fellow RS*R owners

when you had your car smogged, did the smog tech give you any flak over legality? I guess this is primarily for us California residents. I need to get mine smogged in the next week or so, and was wondering if I should bother with putting the stock muffler on.

I got my car smogged before I did any mods. The place I went to didnt even smog it. I didnt ask them to 'cheat' and I paid them normal price (less the coupon i used). It took them about 3 minutes to complete.

I geuss im saying, lots of placing dont really smog it; and if you feel - most places can easily be bought for a couple bucks. Not the most honest thing, but there is really no reason why you should fail because of an RSR exhaust.

the exhaust does nothing to cause the emissions values to change, but some of the smog techs in cali are major assholes. They wouldn't even smog my old Accord because I had a DC intake on there and it didn't have the CARB EO number on it, even though it passed all emissions regulations with flying colors, with the intake on.

Some of them Cali smogers as real a**holes. You should go to a small smog place (like a gas station). Find a place that seems lineant if you are worried about the RSR. Then if you fail, offer them a few bucks.
