ATTN: EXEDY ORGANIC CLUTCH Owners! need advice.

just recieved my exedy organic clutch(will be coupled to a jun ultralight flywheel).. i will soon install on my jdm h22a, i have the transmission apart(engine is in my garage)...

but when i recieved the package, I recieved this note enclosed:

Installation of Acura/Honda Clutches
(08-800 08-804 08-805)

We have had some of our installers that encountered a problem when installing some of our organic facing EXEDY Racing clutches in various Honda/Acura applications where it feels like the clutch is not releasing properly.

If the clutch release bearing is traveling too far, it can be pushed onto the hub of the clutch disc into the flywheel. The transmission cannot be shifted and this will feel like the clutch is not releasing.

The normal tendency in this case is to adjust the linkage to get more release bearing travel, but this only makes the above situation worse.

If you feel that this may be happening, try Very Gradualy letting up on the clutch pedal by about a couple of inches while Lightly trying to shif the tranny. if as you let up on the clutch pedal, you can easily shift the transmission. then the problem is not that you do not have enough release bearing travel, but that you have too much travel.

If your car is a late model that has a hydraulic actuation system, then you will need to adjust the push rod on the clutch pedal. You will need to loosen the lock nut and turn the threaded section so as to shorten the push rod. The actual pedal travel will not change as there is a slot in the push rod and there is a spring holding the clutch pedal up against its stop. This will make for more free play at the top of the clutch pedal travel and a shorter release bearing travel. This should cure your problem.

If your car is the earlier model with a cable actuated clutch system, you will need to adjust more free play into the system.

*********END NOTE

so with u guys that have done the install, is there any advice u can give me before i proceed with the install?, what are the chances that mine will be affected by this problem?

thanks in advance for any info!
