ASAP Motors

I recently purchased an H23 motor from ASAP motors. The mechanic said that by looking at the engine he can definately tell it's a JDM spec engine, but to my knowledge they did not make a JDM spec H23, they made the F22B as the alternative for JDM. But it is an H23 and it is JDM, so does anyone have a solution to the puzzling question. What in the hell am I doing with this freak of nature engine?

Clarify for them that you aren't sure that it is an H23A1, I've seen the engine. There is no VIN number on it and the spot that would normally indicate the engine code has been sanded down and says only JJJ. The engine looks just like an H23A1 but both the people that shipped theredprelude the engine and the people installing it insist that it is a JDM spec H23.

The DOHC Non-VTEC H23 engine was an option on the 4th gen and even on the 5th gen Prelude in Japan. The fact that it has the block stamping and serial sanded off is EXTREMELY suspect, and means that the engine was probably stolen.

Engine ran 1500, it took 2 weeks of threatening to get, so does that mean it's a JDM engine and still an H23? If so, is there a difference in the engine from JDM and USDM?

When they recycled it in Japan, they sanded it off and put JJJ in it's place, if i knew the code, i wouldn't be askin, but i did find out there were H23 options in Japan, H23a1, h23a2 and the powerful h23a4, i got 1 of them, so i am not too worried anymore. The company that shipped they didn't even deal in F22 engines
