I don't know about where you are, but here in Florida you can go to any shop and they have to replace your cracked window for you at no charge. You should look into your states laws, maybe it's the same.

And please tell me you're not taking your car somewhere to have them put your hood on for you. It's 4 bolts. When did you get into your accident? I hope you fix your car soon, if there's any scratched paint, it'll start to rust.

Bummer, sorry to hear about your luck. Here is a tip if you have your insurance replace your windshield make sure you have them replace the outer gasket that goes around the windshield, it's a $190 part from Honda but hey should pay for it, (looks way better e when new) my insurance did.

My insurance replaces my winshield when i get a crack longer then a dollar. The guy that had my car before me did hella freeway drivin in the central states and you can barely see thru my winshield there are so many lil nick's and scratches. I want it to crack soooooo bad. there is one part where it looks like it might happen. me n my friends talked about either heating it then icing it or me drivin on a dirt road tailgating my friend's duely (spelling).

No way, dude. I just got mine replaced a few months back, and a brand new one cost 150. Perhaps it depends on where you live... I dunno.

Around here, some glass shops will "break" it for you so it looks like it was an accident and the insurance will pay for it... a bit dubious, sure but the insurance companies are overcharging us anyway so...

A stock 4G Honda OE windshield retails for $480.81But you can get it for $360 at hondaautomotiveparts.

But no one gets a OE windshield. I'm not sure what they have in your area, but my insurance company will pay for it w/o deductible, AND the glass company will give me a box of steaks

I know aftermarket windshields are A LOT cheaper, but make sure that it fits right. I had my windshield replaced on my last car, and the curvature on it wasn't perfect, so when it rained it leaked.

Good thing I wasn't behind you.

I was behind an old FOrd truck and the hood just flew off. It went up in the air and right over me. If it would've hit me, I probably would've died.

SO please think next time. I know it looked safe, but please don't do that again

that is what i was thinking. you are going though way too much trouble to crack the windshield. especially risking ruining your headlights, pain and suspention by going offroading.
