Anyway to change the center console to the JDM look?
I think i saw a pic where instead of having the console divide the backseat in half there was just a normal hump on the upholstery. Would this be a difficult swap?

Accccctuallllly, some 92-93's don't have it, while others. The long may have been standard on 92's, but there are some 93's with it as well. They might be dealer add-ons or cars built early in the production runs.
Ghey? Offers a great space for smaller items, not like anyones going to be hauling lumber back there. Keeps the interior organized and clean. Less interest for theives.
No kidding. I love my console, makes up for the lack of a glove box, as well as the lack of cupholder.

TTIWWOP!!!! are we talking about the front or the rear???? is the long console the one with the cupholder and the harmrest, which came on 93-up's??? do people actually want to get rid of there 'long' consoles for short ones (which I assume are w/out) the armrests?
ugh, I'm so confused!!!!

It's all about the beverage holder. The extra space is cool but ..
Also, I don't like how the back seats are separated. I don't like to move the drivers seat .. ever... if there are passengers they really get shafted if they are in my car, rarely do I have 4 ppl in the car ... but when I do, or when I go camping, its nice to be able to use the length of the backseat ...
I don't undersatnd how an 85 prelude has more trunk space, & back seat room, and both seats fold down (well albeit the 4ws box had to go somewhere) but I think for "spaciousness" our cars could have been better designed.
But I guess to conclude to the question in the topic ... If its 92/93 short console and the e-brake is in between its as simple as replacing the parts. Otherwise, its moving / welding the e-brake into place so it'll fit the new setup.
yeah unless changed, all 92's have the same console. In 93 I guess the one I have was an option, or maybe came on only a certain model.. not sure exactly, but they're more uncommon than the long one.
