Anyone still clearing 4th gen tails??? (I need mine done)

I know there's a few people on here who are VERY good at clearing 4th gen taillights.....and like the title says- I need mine done.

If you are one of these skilled individuals and would like to make a few bucks, please PM me and we'll set it up. Ill need to know how many of them you have done and see a few pics as well. They need to be pretty much perfect as Im getting the car ready for HIN.

thanks!

brad

i've done 2 sets. one in the oven and one with a heat gun. i've found that the one i did with the heat gun turned out decent, but not great. those are the ones i have on my car right now. i could help you out, and i'd garuntee my work (as i have an extra set of tails right now anyways).

how did the ones you did in the oven turn out? I hear that's the best way to do it....

they turned out nearly perfect. only mistake i made was trying to pry it too early (it made the smallest little "chip" in the black plastic of the housing... not the red portion. and thats only noticable from really close up). other than that, it was flawless.

i'm trying to get my hands on some actual squared cieling material... so i don't have to use the diamond stuff.

Mine:

Too bad for you guys I live in The Netherlands

But it's easy to do yourself... just take your time and make sure you don't overheat the lights. It took me a full weekend to get the desired result, especially the cutting and shaping of the new lens parts.

BZRK, what material did you use? And where can I find it? I'm going to redo mine and that material looks really good.

Well I've used the side of a fluorescent light fixture I found at the local DIY shop. At first I used the top, but the result wasn't what I wanted. So I've changed it to the sides, and that came out much better.

Here you can find some pics of the project and the different results.

Yep, it's stock on EDM ludes and the funny thing is that a lot of owners over here would like to remove them and in the states you guys want to put them on.

(no... I won't remove mine, it's too useful in the rain over here)
