anyone in so. cali wanna help me install el cluster?

hey i live in arcadia, ca... can anyone help me install el gauge clusters and i wanna make my numbers forest green.. and also change my gauge light bulb... its perty dim.... i can pay you and or smoke u out lol..thx

Just did this in my car ... but I'm in Scotland!

It's pretty straightforward if you have the loom that goes with the EL dials - it goes right along the length of the dash and down each side to the kick panels. Also, you'll need the silver inverter box that you have to squeeze in somewhere beside the dials.

There are good help threads on both Prelude UK and Prelude Australia that I contributed a lot of questions to while I was doing it ...

pleaase? i have no experience... ill pay you? thx or maybe if u guys kno where i can take it? thats reliable?i read that once u mess up ur needles ur screwed.... if that happened would i need to find a new vtec 93 gauges thingie needle thing?

ive searched but they keep talking about harnesses and wires.... and the posts are old so i cant ask questions... but anwyays i recieved my vtec el gauge face thing... has a 2 pin conector on it.. an then i have a blackbox with a knob and 6 connectors on it.... all the wires are black..... did i buy the wrong thing?


also for all you color experts... how can i make the lights a nice forrest nice looking green? do i have to add yellow to counteract? and if my lights are dim can i replace them? is there a way to make my gas gauge and temp gauge a nice darker green? instead of teal? thanks

did you manage to get the sub-harness with the gauges and ac/dc converter box? It makes life easier when installing the gauges b/c you only have to splice one ground wire. Everything else would be plug and play

where do i get that? and come it doesnt come with the gauge face.....can i make my numbers light up forrest green with out the el gauges? dont wanna really see white in the day...whats the dimmer turn knob on the little box? do lights come out from the face gauge? if i turn the knob will it get significanly brighter?
